NH Library Director Can Get Job Back After Serving Jail Sentence
PELHAM, N.H. (CBS) - A man who will spend the next six months behind bars for stealing $200,000 at work can have his job back when he's a free man again.
A judge sentenced 46-year-old Robert Rice Jr. on Tuesday for stealing money from the Revere Public Library when he was the director.
He resigned in 2009 and then took a similar position in Pelham, New Hampshire.
WBZ-TV's Lauren Leamanczyk reports
The chairman of the Pelham Library Trustees said Rice's job is safe as long as we wants it, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
On top of his jail sentence, Rice must pay $260,000 in restitution.
