As the holidays loom around the corner, it’s not too late to finalize how to dress your best for New Year’s Eve.  We’ve compiled three outfits to ease the planning process—one for a casual get together, another for a dinner party and of course, we can’t forget cocktail parties and New Year’s Eve.

Casual Get Together

Casual wear for the holidays need not reference loud sweaters with reindeers on them.  Whether you’re hosting a casual gathering for friends and family or attending one yourself, the following will no doubt bring out your good cheer.

Start out with the Fisherman Sweater from J Crew, nothing fancy here just an all around quality sweater for winter.  But when you pair it with this grey A-Line Skirt from LL Bean’s Signature collection, you’ve made a cute outfit perfect for a casual get together with friends. Of course don’t forget about your feet! Throw on your favorite pair of black boots to complete your look

Friend’s Dinner Party

The social obligations that accompany the holidays may have your head spinning.  However, your wardrobe need not suffer from lack of attention of confusion.  We’ve chosen a laid back outfit that is perfect for relaxing at a dinner party.  Jeans, a comfy blouse and enviable shoes.  Need we say more?

Throw on your favorite pair of flared jeans, like these from the Gap. The dark color and super flare look will make others do a double take, are those jeans or nice pants? No one will be able to tell the difference and you’ll be perfectly comfortable all night! Spice up your look with this fun dotted blouse from Anthropologie and lastly slip into these Idaline boots by Isola. All around gorgeous!

The Cocktail Dress

The party dress is a staple for the holidays, especially on a night like New Year’s Eve, where the fancier the dress the better.  If you’re still on the search for the perfect dress just remember NYE is the one time of the year that you can really go all out and no one will judge you for it. So grab some sparkle and get out there!

A perfect example of sparkle is this one shoulder Shoshanna dress in Amethyst Gold color available at Mint Julep in Cambridge. Now it might seem a bit pricey at $354 but it’s well worth it. (Don’t worry if you aren’t willing to spend that much Forever 21 has a great look-a-like for $19.80!) Next up for your outfit is a pair of snakeskin high heels, you heard me.  You can find these Snake Skin Court Shoes in Sea Green at Zara, perfect for a night of dancing and celebrating.
