Mass. Liquor Stores Can Open Monday Under New Law
BOSTON (AP) — Thanks to some last-minute legislation on Beacon Hill, consumers in Massachusetts will be able to purchase beer, wine and liquor on the day after Christmas.

Gov. Deval Patrick signed a bill last week to allow package stores in the state to open on Monday.
Under previous state law, when Christmas fell on a Sunday liquor stores were also required to remain closed on the Monday after the holiday.
Lawmakers changed the law, saying it would help retailers and consumers.
