Man Wanted For Child Rape In Tennessee Arrested In Fall River

FALL RIVER (CBS) – A man wanted for rape of a mentally disabled child in Tennessee has been arrested in Fall River.

57-year-old Matthew Roberts was taken into custody while he was entering a vehicle outside 1347 Locust Street. United States Marshals say Roberts had been living at that address.

He was booked at the Fall River Police Department as a Fugitive From Justice and held without bail. He was transferred to the Ash Street Jail in New Bedford by U.S. Marshals.
