MARLBORO (CBS) – A Massachusetts National Guard unit has wrapped up a tour of duty in Kabul, Afghanistan just in time for the holidays.

About 60 soldiers from the 26th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade and 26th Signal Company landed late Thursday night and were reunited with their families in Marlboro.

The men and women were deployed back in March.

They didn’t know for sure they would be home in time for the holidays until just a few days ago.

WBZ-TV’s David Robichaud reports

The soliders will have a formal welcome home ceremony at a later date.
