A Few Holiday Snowflakes

Christmas weekend is upon us!

Check: Current Conditions | Weather Map Center | Interactive Radar

The majority of our viewing area from Boston and points south will be dodging raindrops through midday.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

However, for neighborhoods located north and west of 495, there will be a rain-snow mix transitioning to a short period of slushy snow.

These locales, including spots like Leominster, Fitchburg, and Jaffrey, could see coating to one inch of slushy snow accumulating on grassy surfaces.

Some backyards in southern Vermont, northwest Massachusetts, and the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire may see 1-to-3 inches of snow.

Temperatures will be in the 40-45F range today.

Christmas Eve:

Coastal flurries and snow showers will stick around late tonight through Christmas Eve afternoon.

Besides these snowflakes, skies will be partly cloudy to partly sunny with highs in the lower and middle 30s.

Christmas Day:

Partly cloudy skies will give way to a few evening snowflakes. Highs will be between 35-40F.

Happy Holidays!  Safe travels!

Melissa :)
