Langlois reversed that decision and Santa made his annual visit this week.
But the controversy had legs, went national and along came the death threats.
School committee member Joe Malone said he couldn't believe it.
"I was really appalled to hear it. I mean things have really gone to an extreme when somebody gets death threats over an issue like this and it's sad there are some sick people out there," he told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Thursday.
Malone said Langlois has done an excellent job in Saugus and they wish the controversy would just go away.
