FOXBORO (CBS) – The New England Patriots have given linebacker Jerod Mayo a five-year contract extension.
Mayo was in the 4th year of his rookie contact that was supposed to expire at the end of the 2012 season.
The Patriots decided not to wait, locking up the Pro Bowler through 2017.
Financial term have not yet been reported.
