What Is Going On With Jeff Green?
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Celtics practiced on the TD Garden floor Thursday morning, still without forward Jeff Green.
Green failed his physical after signing a one-year, $9 million deal after the lockout ended, and has missed every practice the Celtics have held.
On Wednesday, Doc Rivers said this was getting to be a cause for concern. Green re-took his physical, and the results are in, but the team will not know more until Friday.
But the way they are talking about it, it does not sound good for Green or the Celtics.
"Usually you pass your physical by now," said Rivers before practice. "Listen, I'll give you guys more tomorrow for sure. But I've been around long enough to know that if you haven't passed your physical yet, then there's something going on. I just haven't found out, but I've been around long enough to know there's something going on."

"We will know more about Jeff tomorrow, [he's] completing all tests and all results should be known by tomorrow afternoon," said president Danny Ainge. "We'll wait until then to give you guys all that information."
Asked if the results were good or bad, Ainge did not give much.
"It's all based on perspective. I really don't want to talk about that. It's not fair for me to share Jeff's information with you right now," he said.
On Monday, Green said his failing the physical had nothing to do with a heart condition. He added on Tuesday he failed the stress test portion of the physical.

Green will likely be the Celtics first player off the bench this season, if healthy. He was brought over from the Oklahoma City Thunder at the trade deadline last season for Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson.
Green averaged 9.8 points for Boston in 26 regular season games and tallied 7.3 points in nine postseason games.
