ABINGTON (CBS) – A dangerous new drug is hitting the streets Abington, and it has police there very concerned.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Kim Tunnicliffe reports.

Police have arrested Robert Sampson for allegedly distributing the drug to several young people in town. He faces several drug charges, and charges including reckless endangerment to children and attempt to commit a crime to wit manslaughter.

Police are alleging that Sampson was running a drug lab out of his basement and also selling the drugs from his home on Green Street.

“This substance is so known and so dangerous to the public that it has the potential to seriously hurt and/or kill an individual and to distribute that substance to another individual, especially a younger individual or one of our youth in town,” said Abington Police Chief David Majenski.

Officers found crystal meth, bath salts, and hallucinogenic mushrooms in Sampson’s home.

“We found cooking pots. We found different items that would be consistent with that manufacturing substances. Simple things like a lithium battery, they used some substances from that. There was also times being flown in from outside of this country, chemicals and substances that we were looking into,” said Chief Majenski.

This has to be the most poorly written article I have ever read. The drug, referenced in all of the first 4 paragraphs, is never once named. It’s missing entire words and punctuation (paragraphs 1 and 2). And the quote in the fourth paragraph isn’t even a complete thought or sentence. And I don’t know if Chief Majenski’s grammar is really that bad (it’s appalling) or if he is just the victim of a truly horrible writer. Whoever wrote this copy needs to seek a new line of work.
