BOSTON (CBS) – The state is cashing in big time on unclaimed property.

In October, The State Treasurer’s office started selling unclaimed property on EBay.

Some 960 items from abandoned safe deposit boxes went up for sale.

The items were appraised at just around $285,000.

Apparently they were in high demand.

The auctions raked in $434,000, which all goes into the state general fund.

    which will then go to the ridiculous underfunded by employees pension sytem!!!!!
    PUBLIC EMPLOYESS TO FUND THEIR OWN 401K ETC FOR PENSIONS JUST LIKE THE MAJORITY OF THE COUNTRY!!!! THIS SHOULD BE A NEW BILL,POLICY,LAW THEN MAYBE SO MANY STATES WOULDNT BE BANKRUPT!!!
