FRANKLIN (CBS) – An 18-year-old man has been arraigned on charges he assaulted a Dean College student.

Kirk Dudley, 18, of Staten Island is charged with assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon and unarmed robbery for the attack that happened earlier this month.

He was arraigned and released on $2,000 bail.

Police say Dudley attacked a fellow student and stole his sneakers as others watched.

Dudley was among the nine students who were expelled following the beating that was caught on tape and posted online.

The attack happened on the Dean College campus in Franklin.

Students say the altercation was over sneakers that the attacker said the victim had stolen from him. They are limited edition Nike sneakers that sell for $200.

The victim denies stealing the sneakers.

I hope this punk goes to jail for a long time and all his gangsta brothers go to jail as well. What a bunch of losers beating up a kid and encouraging it. Are they college students or bunch of thugs on the streets? Shame on them and shame on the college to cultivate such environment.

    He’s your ‘typical’ MSNBC watcher….

    He’s the real ‘victim’!

    Just ask him.

The trending attitude & demographics in today’s America has led it to the ‘poor house’ & will prove to be it’s demise….MSNBC is fanning the ‘flames’!

    NINE? Nine students were expelled?

Sounds to me like these people were running like a pack of rabid dogs on campus. I’ll bet the rest of the story is very interesting and paints this guy and the other eight as fine upstanding young men and members of an elite society!

Yes, Dean College recruits and gives these kids a free ride to play football.
Other serious students pay up the nose to go there.
      What’s wrong with this picture????
It does not matter to Dean College administration that these kids come in and take over the campus and intimidate other students.
