Boston University Hockey Player Charged With Sexual Assault
BOSTON (CBS) - A star hockey player at Boston University is facing serious charges. Police say Corey Trivino forced his way into a female student's dorm room and groped her over the weekend.
"It's just such a ridiculous thing to hear, " said BU senior Leon Spencer, one of many students who didn't hold back at the dorms on Buick Street where police say the attack happened.
"I've seen him around he seems like a really nice kid so I was just really shocked," said junior Elizabeth King who lives in the same building as the Trivino and the victim.

Trivino or number 9 on the ice is the hockey team's leading scorer and has already been drafted by the New York Islanders.
But on Sunday night police say the 21-year-old became an assault suspect.
The victim says a very drunk Trivino forced his way into her room three times where he groped, tried to kiss her and even laid on her bed.
Police say she was required to open the door each time because she's a Resident Assistant.
He has already been kicked off of the hockey team and now the school says it's conducting its own investigation to see if he violated any school policies. If he did, he could be expelled from BU.
"He ruined his future. One night of getting drunk and having fun, I guess and now he's lost everything he worked for," said Spencer.
This isn't the first time Trivino has been in trouble. In March his hockey coach suspended him for showing up late to a punishment for underage drinking.
Still students like King don't think the punishment fits the alleged crime, "I think that it's harsh to have all those charges already it is his last semester he does have a lot riding on this."

Dean of Students Kenneth Elmore says Trivino can keep going to class but he will be monitored. "We want to make sure he's not in the vicinity or around the other students so we will limit their ability to be in and around the campus."
