Empty Pizza Boxes Lead To Arrest In Delivery Robberies Case

BOSTON (CBS) – Empty pizza boxes helped Boston police catch a 16-year-old suspected of holding up several food delivery people.

Detectives armed with a search warrant went through the trash out in front of 51 Wentworth Street after developing leads that the suspect may live at that address.

They found empty pizza boxes and receipts that were from those armed robberies.

Police arrested the teenage suspect in his bedroom after finding a loaded gun under his pillow.

He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition.

The 16-year-old was later charged with armed robbery after police confirmed he matched the description of a suspect involved in the robberies.
