WORCESTER (CBS) – Funeral arrangements have been announced for a Worcester firefighter killed in the line of duty.

Jon Davies, a 17-year veteran of the department, was killed by collapsing debris after he and another firefighter went back into a burning home to search for a missing person inside.

Relatives and friends of Firefighter Davies are invited to calling hours Wednesday, December 14th from 3 pm to 8 pm in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St. in Worcester.

The funeral home has set up a webpage where people can leave condolences or send flowers.

A celebration of life funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 15th at 10 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St.
