Tenants Of Chatham Cottages Told To Leave Before Christmas

CHATHAM (CBS) – The people living in five cottages on the Cape Cod National Seashore have been told to move out before Christmas.

George Price, the Superintendent of the Seashore tells the Cape Cod Times he is moving ahead with plans to demolish the cottages because he believes they are unsafe.

He's told the residents to move out by December 21.

The residents have been fighting this move -- and wanted to have the cottages declared historic places -- but their request was rejected.
