Driver Robbed After Suspect Shoots Out Her Car Window

DOVER, NH (CBS) - A woman was shot at and robbed in a seemingly random attack while driving on Route 155 in Dover, New Hampshire Monday night.

Police say a man shot out the victim's front passenger-side window with what later turned out to be a BB gun pistol.

The initial shooting happened right near the exit 8 overpass of the Spaulding Turnpike.

WBZ-TV's Christina Hager reports

Police say right after her window was shattered, the victim put her Jeep into reverse, drove about 75 feet, and hit a guardrail.

The suspect continued to fire shots as he approached the SUV.

He confronted the victim and stole her cell phone before taking off on a bicycle.

Police describe the shooter as a white man in his twenties with wavy dark hair and dark goatee, medium build and was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, a light colored shirt with horizontal stripes and jeans.

The shooter was with another man, whom police consider a suspect as well. They did not have a description for that person.

Investigators also say they don't believe that the victim and suspects knew each other.
