FBI Assisting Search For Runaway Teens Who May Have Fled To NY Or NH

BOSTON (CBS) - Police are looking for two runaway teens who took a taxi to South Station and then disappeared early Sunday morning.

The teens, 13-year-old Connor Southard and 14-year-old Laura Dixon, were picked up by the taxi at around 1:30 a.m. at Gordon College and took it to South Station.

Police believe the teens may have been headed to New York City or New Hampshire.

WBZ-TV's Paul Burton reports.

Southhard, of Manchester, Mass., is described as 5'7" with a thin build and short dirty blond hair. He was believed to be wearing short light blue coat, a dark winter cap, and dark pants carrying a black nap sack with "Connor" printed on it.

Dixon, of Wenham, is described as 5'4" with a thin build and possibly red hair. Police said she may have changed her hair color prior to leaving. She may be wearing a short light blue coat, dark winter hat, carrying a dark back pack. Police said she walks with a limp due to a foot injury and is without her protective boot.

Authorities in Massachusetts, New York, and New Hampshire and with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and FBI are investigation.
