Worcester Fight Victim Actually Died Of A Gunshot Wound

WORCESTER (CBS) - A bullet is to blame for the death of a man police originally thought had died of a pre-existing medical condition.

A large brawl broke out on Wednesday outside City Hall in Worcester.

When police arrived, they found the victim, 20-year-old Javier Santiago lying on the ground unconscious, but still breathing.

He was given CPR and rushed to the hospital where he died.

Originally, investigators said Santiago had not been shot.

But, an autopsy later found the young man actually died of a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Police say they are still looking for the shooter.
