HYANNIS (CBS) - Tis the season on Cape Cod.

This weekend, The Cape's Christmas celebrations will stretch from Provincetown to Falmouth, to the Islands, and every town in between.

Among the over 27 special events are the Holly Folly Festival in Provincetown, the Cape Cod Symphony's Holiday Pops Spectacular, The North Pole Express ride on the Cape Cod Central Railroad, the 38th Annual Nantucket Stroll, Hyannis Stroll, the Falmouth Christmas Parade, and more.

The finishing touches have been placed on the enchanted village at the Cape Codder Resort in Hyannis. The display features more than 100,000 lights and a Santa's village.

Inns and resorts throughout the Cape are also offering up special accommodations packages. Many include dinner gift certificates at nearby restaurants, passes to holiday events, and treats like champagne, mulled cider and Christmas cookies.

In addition to the special events and getaway packages, visitors can download the "Christmas on Cape Cod Rewards Pass" for special offers and gifts from participating restaurants, shops and attractions.

"Cape Cod is offering up a way to spend some time with your family and friends while creating new memories of the Christmas season," said Wendy Northcross, CEO of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. "In the hustle and bustle of the holidays, we often forget that some time well spent is a gift as well as a beautifully wrapped box. Cape Cod and the islands delivers a more relaxed and interesting way to find those unique gifts and enjoy the slower pace of December by the sea. "
