Superintendent Marinel McGrath handed down the punishments Wednesday night.

"The allegations that the policies had been violated by a number of our students, and in particular the nature of those alleged violations, are both disappointing and disturbing since the purpose of these policies is to protect our students and to provide them with a safe and supportive learning environment," McGrath said in a letter to parents.

The incident took place at Stonehill College last summer where Andover High players participated in the Hoop Mountain Basketball Camp.

According to the Eagle Tribune, some seniors talked two underclassmen into playing a humiliating sex game.

The shocking details leaked out through the Internet onto the Andover High campus.

The superintendent says now she's also looking into whether school employees were involved.

The Eagle Tribune reports both the Bristol County District Attorney and the Attorney General's office are launching criminal investigations.

The seven students who face suspension, according to WBZ-TV sources, will also face suspension from the school's athletic program for the 2011-2012 season.
