LANCASTER, Mass. (AP) — A 38-year-old West Boylston man is dead after he got out of his car following a crash and was hit by a pickup truck.

State police say that at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Scott Symonds' car became disabled in the median after it hit a guardrail on Route 190 northbound in Lancaster.

They say shortly after getting out of his car, Symonds was hit by a pickup truck driven by 42-year-old Eric Sifert of Westminster.
