Judge Bans Woman From Occupy Boston After Alleged Assaults On Officers

BOSTON (CBS) - A judge has banned a Framingham woman from participating in any Occupy Boston activities after that woman allegedly punched two police officers in the face, failed to show up for court on the ensuing assault charge, and then kicked another officer who tried to arrest her for failing to show up for court.

Officers say last week, they responded to reports of a possible domestic assault at the Occupy Boston camp in Dewey Square.

While investigating, they say 19-year-old Jade Anderson came running toward them and began chanting anti-police slogans, as well as spraying the officers with "spittle."

Investigators say Anderson tried to push her way past an officer to get closer to the scene of the initial investigation.

When officers told her to leave the area, they claim Anderson punched two officers in their faces.

The two officers tackled Anderson and after a several minute struggle, they placed her in handcuffs.

Anderson posted bail and police say she skipped a November 22 arraignment over the alleged incident.

On Wednesday, officers spotted Anderson, who had apparently dyed her hair from blond to purple, at the Occupy Boston encampment.

Police she kicked an officer above his left knee while she was being placed her under arrest.
On the way to the police station, the officer asked Anderson why she had kicked him.

"Because you [expletive] deserve it," she allegedly responded.

She is said to have apologized for that act later, adding that she "had to do what she had to do to fight the corruption."

Anderson is out on bail. She's due back in court next month.
