Wet Wednesday Travel

BOSTON (CBS) - Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

Check: Current Conditions | Weather Map Center | Interactive Radar | Traffic

It's a rainy morning for most of us.  However, if you live near Concord, NH, Springfield, VT, Westbrook, ME and areas north of these locales, you are dealing with some heavy, wet snow.

Watch Melissa Mack's forecast:

Many areas across northern New England will receive 6"+ of snow from this system.

Otherwise, most of our viewing area will end up with rainfall totals between 1-3".

The precipitation will become less numerous by midday and will come to a complete halt this evening.

Highs will be reached around 10-11am with the middle 50s near the Cape/Islands and lower 40s across the northwestern coverage area (outside of 495).  We'll cool off quickly this evening.

Tonight, the clouds will gradually clear out, and temperatures start to tumble.

THANKSGIVING TIMELINE:

*Early Morning:

As you are waking up pre-dawn on Thanksgiving morning to put the turkey in the oven, skies will be mainly clear, winds will be breezy, and temps will be in the middle 20s to middle 30s.  Brrrr...

*Mid-morning:

Football games will be chilly as well as temperatures will be around the upper 30s for kickoff. Then, when it's time for turkey dinner, we will be at our pinnacle in terms of high temps, upper 40s to near 50F.

*For your Thanksgiving Eve  you can expect temps to be around 40F.

'BLACK' FRIDAY:

Early Bird Specials:  Dry and chilly in the 30s.

Late-Afternoon Lunch:  Sunny with highs near 60F!

This weekend still looks sunny with highs in the middle to upper 50s.

Melissa :)
