A woman was found dead in this Mattapan apartment building in November.

BOSTON (CBS) – The woman who was found dead in an apartment in Mattapan Monday has been identified as 34-year-old Rosanna Camilo.

A teenage girl came home to the Fairlawn Apartments to find her mother dead, and one-year-old brother alive.

Police say the baby had been by his mother’s body for hours.

Police initially deemed the death of Camilo to be suspicious, but have now determined the manner of death to be a homicide based on an autopsy.

why not test the semen found vaginally and compare it wit Mr. broom. Doing a DNA test is not sufficient enough to convict someone. He could have visitied that apartment anytime, which does not make him a killer. Justice should be done but one has to have concrete evidence before convicting someone. Besides, the murder happened in an apartment building, why didn’t anyone hear anything. I truly believe that a thorough investigation needs to be done. Police investigators need to do a better job at collecting evidence

EVERYBODY IS SAYING THAT THIS MAN DESERVES THE HIGHEST PUNISHMENT BUT WHAT IF HE REALLY DIDN’T COMMIT THE CRIME, THERE AS SO MANY LOOP HOLES FOR ANYBODY ELSE TO HAVE DONE THIS ALL THAT YOU CAN SAY IS HE HAD ACCESS TO THE APARTMENT AND HIS DNA WAS FOUND THERE. ISN’T IT POSSIBLE THAT HIS DNA COULD STILL BE THERE SINCE THE LAST TENANT WAS THERE AFTER ALL THAT IS HOW HE HAD ACCESS TO THE APT BECAUSE OF THE LAST TENANT SO THEY MUST WERE FRIENDS THEY DID LIVE RIGHT ACROSS THE HALL FROM EACH OTHER. I MEAN HE STRONGLY INSIST THAT HE DID NOT COMMIT THE CRIME AND HE WILLINGLY GAVE A DNA SAMPLE. I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT WAS IT THAT POINT THIS MAN OUT FROM ANY OTHER PERSON. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ALLEGATION THAT REQUIRES SOME DETAIL INVESTIGATING. MATCHING DNA DOES NOT SAY A PERSON IS A MURDERER
