FOXBORO (CBS) – The Patriots and Raytheon will play host to more than 400 injured servicemen and women and their guests for Monday night’s clash with the Chiefs.

As part of the Wounded Warrior Project, the Patriots will also conduct a food drive at the game, encouraging fans to bring non-perishable food items to donate. Collection bins will be at five locations outside Gillette Stadium.

The Wounded Warrior Project raises awareness and provides aid for severely injured service members.

    congrats to the patriots organization, wounded warrior project, and raytheon for this kindness. far too much of the nightly news has been focused on the bad that is done. for a number of years when i lived in massachusetts, friends and i were involved with veterans. family and friends have proudly worn various uniforms of the armed services. sending care packages to a nephew during 2 iraq tours, saying thanks just never seems sufficient for the many sacrifices that have been made. i’m proud to be an american, and a pats fan. hope these special guests enjoy the evening. we are all thankful for your service, and wish you nothing but the best!
