BOSTON (CBS) – Black Friday marks the official start to the holiday shopping season.

It’s more than a week away, but stores are already advertising some of their biggest deals.

But when it comes to Black Friday bargain hunting, there is something you should know.

Consumer advocate Edgar Dworsky says its all about planning, plotting and preparing.

WBZ-TV’s Kate Merrill reports

Some of the best deals Dworsky found this year include:

  • Canon SX150 camera at Staples for $149
  • Sears Washer & Dryer for $699
  • 42″ LCD TV for $199 at Best Buy

And don’t forget the coupons that can make a good deal great.

I have some stragedy But will let you know later if it will work out and if I snag some great deals.
But what I can say is research all the sale adds, because you might find that many have the same items but one could have a great deal… Also since some will open at 1 am some will open at 4 am, giving you a chance to get to another store for a great deal, plan out your trip and save not only money but gas.,
But we see just what I snag in those deals, good luck to those that will venture out next week
