Belichick Mocks Jets D After Win

BOSTON (CBS) – While Bill Belichick remained his normal self during his postgame press conference Sunday night, he had a little more salt for the Jets wounds as he walked off the field after New England's 37-16 win.

"Thirty-seven points on the best defense in the league, s--- my d---," Belichick said in celebration, according to the New York Post.

The 37 points scored by the Patriots are the most the Jets have given up at home under Rex Ryan.

When asked about the comment on New York's WFAN Monday morning, Belichick wouldn't confirm or deny what he said.

"I don't really remember that. Any conversations I had privately I'll keep private," he told WFAN's Joe and Evan.

"There's no love lost between these two teams," Belichick said of the rivalry. "We're excited when we beat them. They're excited when they beat us. "
