Boston Police spokesman James Kineally said the teenagers, who are from Quincy, said a man approached them inside the store, telling them he was a police officer, and offering them a ride.

WBZ-TV's Paul Burton reports.

"In fact, according to the victims, the suspect said, 'I'll give you a ride home.' At this point, the teens asked to see the suspect's badge, smartly they asked to see his identification badge. And when he refused, they then fled the scene," said Kineally.

The teens said the suspect had been following them for a few hours.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'9", in his late 20's to early 30's with a slim build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hat, a gray jacket, jeans and black and white Nike sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Boston police.
