Colvin On Toucher & Rich: Doing Best They Can With What They Have

Eli Manning and the New York Giants came into Gillette Stadium and handed the Patriots their third loss of the season. Tom Brady threw for 342 yards and 2 interceptions in the 24-20 loss.

Former Patriots linebacker joined Toucher & Rich to talk about the loss to the Giants, the next game against the Jets, Albert Haynesworth and Chad Ochocinco.

"I think the game boiled down to making a play and it was eerily similar to, and I hate to even bring it up, the Super Bowl loss in Arizona," Colvin said of Sunday's game.

Fans voiced their displeasure with how the Patriots were performing and Patriots cornerback Kyle Arrington tweeted after the game "Don't hop back on the bandwagon later #fakefans." What did Colvin think of this move?

"What Kyle has to understand is that they buy a ticket and they got a right to say whatever they want to say. You as a professional have to continue to go out each and every week, prepare yourself to play as best you can on that particular game day and give them something that they are excited about. Regardless if they show up or not you're still getting paid to play so subjecting his opinion to Twitter about fan he wants back win or lose is not going to help the situation, what's going to help is better preparation and better execution on game day," the former Patriot said.

There is a 3 way tie for first place in the AFC East and the next game the Pats face off against the Jets. Is this Patriots team the best team in their division?

"It's tough to say, I mean you look at happened to them with Buffalo...This upcoming game will sort of give the Patriots the opportunity to see exactly where they are and I think they know where they are. This is just the opportunity to continue to prove and try to put themselves back in position where they are at the top of the division," Colvin said.

They also went on to discuss the lack of a deep threat and how it might be causing problems for this Patriots offense. They also talked about Alberty Haynesworth not being on the field at the end of the game with the game on the line. The guys also talked about Chad Ochocinco's lack of production when targeted and Tom Brady's trust of the wide receiver.
