Faulk, Price Inactive For Patriots

FOXBORO (CBS) – One week after returning to the Patriots, running back Kevin Faulk is inactive Sunday against the Giants.

Along with Faulk, wide receiver Taylor Price, guard Donald Thomas, defensive lineman Shaun Ellis, quarterback Ryan Mallet, and linebackers Jermaine Cunningham and Dane Fletcher are all inactive for New England.

Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien had said earlier in the week he had hoped  to get Price more involved in the offense. Price was in the locker room this week telling anyone who would listen that he was healthy.  The Pats must have thought otherwise.

He was on the field before the game testing his hamstring, but obviously was not ready to go.

Kevin Faulk is a surprise here.  He practiced all week, but must have some swelling or the Pats are not going to use him in the game plan. Anyway, expect a heavy dose of BenJarvus Green-Ellis.

Receivers Wes Welker and Julian Edelman and defensive lineman Ron Brace are all active for New England.

For the Giants, corner Prince Amukamara, wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, center David Baas, running back Ahmad Bradshaw, fullback Henry Hynoski and tackles James Brewer and Stacy Andrews are all inactive.
