CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – Police say a shoplifter was arrested after a chase this afternoon at the CambridgeSide Galleria.
The unidentified person apparently jumped off the third floor and suffered what is believed to be a non life-threatening injury.
Just before four o’clock, the alleged shoplifter was on the third floor in the area of the Abercrombie & Fitch clothing store when someone reported that he was stealing merchandise.

According to the mall, he fell through an awning on the first floor where he was apprehended by Cambridge Police.
The suspect is identified as a 41-year-old black male.
He sustained serious injuries but was conscious and alert.
He was transported to the hospital and will be summonsed for shoplifting and possibly other charges.
