Court Rules Former State Rep. Parente Cannot Boost Her Pension
BOSTON (CBS) - A former state representative will not be able to increase her pension by including the value of her Statehouse parking space.
Former State Rep. Marie Parente wanted to count job perks, like the parking space and her daily travel allowance, as part of her salary. That could have boosted her pension by $11,000 a year.
An appeals court has rejected the request.
