BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Bruins have got off to a rough 4-7-0 start to the season, but it’s not their starting goalie’s fault.

Tim Thomas (4-4) has been as excellent, as he is sporting a 2.10 goals against average and a .929 save percentage. But, the team has scored just seven goals in seven losses this season.

Not only is Thomas good on the ice, he’s pretty funny off of it. Fans can now take a look at the lighter side of the Vezina winner in this new Discover card commercial featuring “Peggy.”

The new ad is one of two NHL-related spots released as Discover and the NHL announced a three-year extension of their sponsorship agreement.

Thomas’ co-star cab driver is also a recognizable face to many around Boston.  Alicia Love is a DJ at WBZ’s sister station Mix 104.1 and a local comedian.

Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane is featured in the other commercial.
