State Police shut down both sides of the highway for the rescue.
WESTWOOD (CBS) – Both sides of Route 128 were shut down late Tuesday morning after an accident in Westwood.

State police say a man was seriously hurt in a single-vehicle crash on the highway at University Avenue at 10:23 a.m.
Troopers shut down both sides of the highway so a medical flight emergency rescue helicopter could land on the road to take the man to the hospital.
The circumstances of the crash are still not known.
The crash happened near Route 109.
Traffic was backed up for miles in both directions.
