Mackanin, Sveum To Interview With Red Sox
BOSTON (CBS) - The Red Sox are set to start the interviewing process for their managerial vacancy this week.
WBZ-TV's Dan Roche has confirmed the Red Sox will interview both Phillies bench coach Pete Mackanin and former Red Sox third base coach Dale Sveum this week, starting with Mackanin on Monday.
Several others could be added throughout the week as well.

Mackanin, 60, has served as Charlie Manuel's bench coach for the past three seasons and has interim managerial experience for both the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds. In 2005, Mackanin went 12-14 with the Pirates. He took over the Reds in 2007, posting a 41-39 mark.

Mackanin has also managed nine different minor league teams.
Sveum has been with the Brewers since 2006, filling many roles on the club including interim manager in 2008.
