The group, which is seeking more transparency in financial institutions has excluded Paul Carnes and Sidney Sherrel from financial decisions.

The pair allegedly didn’t follow the group’s rules when it comes to spending money and organizing a fundraiser.

Occupy member Nadeem Mazen says the actions of one of the accused were in poor taste.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Bernice Corpuz reports

He says Paul was using his spending, “To appropriate channels of power and channels of influence.”

Mazen hopes this incident will serve as a lesson for financial institutions and the government to address failures transparently.

OWS more transparent thatn Obama said he would be. Color me impressed

    • Fredgold

I’ve seen brick walls more transparent than Obammer

Do have to give the group credit for taking action and implementing consequences after violations were discovered. That’s something in short supply in govt. and big business.

      • enoughalready

Please. The next people in charge of the money will think they know best as well. That’s the problem with you people. When you don’t EARN the money, you are no good at managing it. That’s why the country is broke. Too much spending of other people’s money. Grow up.

  • Bill Jones

“The pair allegedly didn’t follow the group’s rules when it comes to spending money and ….” Who’s rules? There are no rules! Who are the rule makers? Looks like they are turning into a marxist state. What a joke. Wiat until the leadership start paying themselve high salaries and start employing uncles and brothers in-law. It always happens with leftist leadership.

I can’t wait for the first blizzard to hit, their “Valley Forge moment” will really kick in then. They obviously haven’t experienced temps at -10 with 40 mile an hour winds and blowing snow. They won’t have any fingers or toes left. Complete idiots….

My favorite story related to the foibles of the ‘Occupy” movement is when the cooks providing food to the group complained of ‘free-loaders’ taking advantage of the free meals and started serving brown rice. Ha!

    • hypocrisia

Yes. Isn’t it funny how the redistribution stops when it comes to their stuff? All of the sudden they are more deserving than others. Those others must not be in the 99 percent, huh? Some are more equal than others. Right?

That was one of my favorite stories too!

Some years ago my sister-in-law and I had debates about out-based education, which was where they taught ‘there are no wrong answers,’ and it’s important to ‘build the children’s self-esteem,’ even when they put forth no effort. I remember telling her it’ll be interesting when these kids graduate and get out in the real world and realize all that phony esteem stuff doesn’t apply. That’s what we’re seeing with these occupy people. They thought they’d graduate and get six figure jobs, when reality dictates what it’s always been, you have to work hard to get there. They think they’re entitled and don’t want to work hard, they’d rather whine.

    • Robert Nagel

This is one of the most perceptive comments I have seen. I forgot about “outcome based education”, thanks for the reminder.

    • Craig

That’s exactly what I’ve been saying. No winners in little league,. No dodgeball, etc.

This is exactly what happens. Parents tell their kids everything they do is wonderful. It’s predictable.

    • JapesMacFarland

I’ve heard that the group with the highest amount of ‘self esteem’, hands down, are violent criminals in prison.
By the way, you know I can’t think of a single thing the Left has *ever* gotten right. Can you?

  • Jen

    – what a riot! By the way – buying all those nifty t-shirts and signs for your cause – it’s called capitalism when you give people money for a product and they make a profit off of it – and yes there are protesters making profits off of other protesters – usually the ones who have managed to put themselves “in charge” somehow – and you can bet there is alot of people “in charge” who are pocketing funds – hey – they are just entitled right

    • gigi

      LOL – great point!

    • Hawkeye

You’re right! BTW, have they paid for their protest permits? Have they bought their business license? How about their articles of incorporation and the income and sales taxes due on their profits?
What happened to paying THEIR FAIR SHARE?

Amazing…they are too stupid to even see their own hypocrisy.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow….

At least they stopping raping 14 year old girls long enough to fire a few folks.

  • Atlas Collins

I wonder how much they spent on dope?

  • Marilyn

The Gimme Gang. Why doesn’t this group just admit they are no different than the government? You want them to follow YOUR rules but you don’t want to our government’s rules. These people just need to go away and concentrate on getting an education and working. They do not represent the 99%. I love that the Occupy New York gang is tired of feeding the homeless. There’s irony for ya.

  • Tom Menino

Fleabaggers: George Soros had lobster and champagne last night. Michael Moore is staying at the Rennaissance in Times Square while in town to “protest”. Nancy Pelosi’s personal investment holdings grew by 61% last year during a recession of historic proportions. The domain “OccupyWallStreet.org” was registered in June by Estonian Socilaists (and then transferred in August to Adbusters, which is a prank “culture jamming” magazine known for creating mock boycotts and demonstrations, simply for sport).

You are what Lenin referred to as the “Useful Idiots” who the oligarchy can count on to take to the streets when commanded by their masters. Obama = Bush = Wall Street = Romney = Pelosi = Halliburton = Solyndra = Barney Frank = Fannie Mae = Cheney.

You are being used. Your leaders are as avaricious and power-hungry as those you think you are protesting against.

You have become the sheeple you dread.

  • oracle2world

“… for their lack of transparency and accountability …” = theft.

  • nunya

It will serve as a lesson. When these vapid protest dry up and nothing is gained, that will be the lesson.

  • Archy Cary

    What a bunch of Obamamorons.

  • MDWhite

“Fired for a lack of transparency and accountability”? By that standard, Obama should have been sacked a couple of years ago.

Maybe they’ll ask to incorporate like Rhode Island. If you can’t beat capitalism, join it.

Say what you will they took more serious action here than anyone took regarding the heads of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Countrywide.

  • poorhardworker

LOL!!! And you think you are different from the things you oppose. And you still want the most un-transparent president ever to be re-elected??? You all are a hoot! Watch that your hand sticking out for money doesn’t get frostbite in a few weeks!

When does the MIT Squash season start up again? Wondering when their coach, Nadeem Mazen, will have to leave the Greenway to get on with his onerous duties in life. He shows up on the morning news one day and bills himself as “a small business owner struggling in this economy” and that “the government must spend more more to help folks and business owners like me”. What a clown. Sorry, Nadeem, if the USA hasn’t helped you out much in life. It must have been tough growing up in North Andover and then getting a degree from MIT. Poor SOB, pass the hat and I’ll throw a sawbuck in for you so you can eat today.

Here are some things you’ve never seen at a Tea Party gathering:

    1) Rape
    2) Violence against police officers
    3) Theft of goods and cash
    4) People defecating on police cars
    5) Complete disregard for the laws concerning protest gatherings
    6) Vandalism of private property
    7) People blaming the nation’s problems on “greedy Wall Street Jews”
8.) Mountains of garbage left to be cleaned by others
    9) Drug and alcohol use
    10) Exhortations to adopt communism, love expressed for murderers such as Che
    11) Calls to “kill the rich” or instigate a civil “class war”
    12) People exposing themselves to minors

But Obama’s OWS protests, on the other hand…

The fundamental question this election cycle is: ‘Can we overcome the Obama ‘Jobs- Depression’ so long as Obama sits in the WH?’ Certainly the 26 Million Americans without a viable option for productive employment consider this to be the most critical issue confronting our electorate. Unfortunately, the answer is an emphatic ‘NO’. Quite simply, Obama either doesn’t understand -OR- is unwilling to accept the mechanics of job creation in a free-market economy. Certainly the circulating video of a petulant adolescent, utterly out-of-control, as he kicked open the door as he exited the WH conference room ‘after’ he was told by attending members of the Congress that they would NOT give him the massive tax increases that he insisted on to sustain his crippling spending binge of 25% of our GDP, would validate the latter. The explanation is straight forward: Obama views the Tax Code, Regulatory Reform, and Executive Policy such as Obamacare, Housing, and Student Loan Programs, etc., as instruments of WEALTH REDISTRIBUTION. Obama has been schooled in this Marxist dialectic since birth; and, is NOT capable of accommodating real-life consequences. In a functioning Free-Market System, the Tax Code, Regulatory Reform, and Executive Policy are purposely constructed to FACILITATE economic expansion, and concurrently, JOB CREATION. No CEO, with proliferating onerous regulatory measures, pending increases in tax obligations, and Executive policies that cripple profit potential, are going to RISK significant ‘domestic’ expansion, and concurrent hiring of new employees in face of such a fusillade of restrictive business measures being promulgated by the Obama anti-capitalistic agenda. Thus, even with a modestly expanding economy, job-creation will be severely constrained. Paradoxically, the Occupy-Wall-Street protestors, and the Tea-Party activists have a common enemy – Barack Obama. It’s simply a matter of recognizing the actual culprit in the job-creating malaise infecting our body politic. Greg Neubeck
