Mayor Menino Orders Superintendent To Fix Late School Bus Problem
BOSTON (CBS) - Two months into the school year and Boston public school buses continue to show up as much as an hour late.
On any given day 25 percent of buses are late.
Officials blame several factors, including poor route planning computer software and staggered start times that can be thrown off if one route is delayed.

The mayor says it starts with the school district.
"They give the instructions to the computer folks, the computer folks give it to the bus drivers," says Menino. "I have ordered the Superintendent to fix this as quickly as possible."
