NH Family Offers $50,000 Reward To Find Woman’s Killer
ALTON BAY, NH (CBS) – A New Hampshire woman’s family wants to find her killer, and after a year of waiting for news, they’re taking steps to get answers.
Roberta “Bobbie” Miller was found shot to death at her home in Gilford last fall.
Now her family is hoping that a new reward will solve the mystery.
WBZ-TV’s Lauren Leamanczyk reports
Mt. Major was Miller’s favorite place. It’s where her family scattered her ashes and it’s where they’ve come to plead for help finding her killer.
“We believe it was targeted,” says Jennifer Miller, Bobbie’s daughter. “We can’t say why. I think that’s the most important question for our family is why, why my mother.”
To answer that question, Bobbie’s family is offering a $50,000 reward. Bobbie was shot multiple times in her home in Gilford. Her dog was killed too. One year later, no one has been arrested.
Investigators say Roberta Miller was killed sometime between Halloween at 4pm and 5pm the next day. But they still don’t have any suspects and they haven’t been able to narrow down a motive.
“We really want the public to think back to where they were last year at this time especially residents in that area as well as friends,” says Assistant Attorney General Benjamin Agati.
Investigators don’t believe Halloween had anything to do with Bobbie’s death. They also can’t say if she knew her killer. A vacation home in Maine owned by her ex-husband burned in an arson fire just a week earlier but there’s no sure link.
Meanwhile Bobbie’s family tries to focus on the life she lived.
“I can only hope that this person realizes what kind of person they took from this world.”
But her daughter says they’ll never be able to rest until someone is brought to justice for how her mother died.
The $50,000 reward will go to the person who provides information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of Bobbie Miller’s killer.
