Music Stores Step Up After Bus Co. Bans Student's Sax

RAYNHAM (CBS) - Offers of help are pouring in for a Raynham sixth grader who was banned from bringing his saxophone to school.

This week, 12-year-old Andrew DiMarzio was told that because of the size of the instrument, it would not be allowed on the bus.

The bus company claims it has become a safety hazard on a bus that's filled to capacity.

The boy's mother says several music stores have offered to donate another instrument that Andrew can leave at school.

Andrew's mom says she's grateful for the support, but still hopes the bus company will reconsider.
