REVERE, Mass. (AP) — A 51-year-old man is dead after he was
struck and killed on Broadway in Revere.
The Suffolk District Attorney’s office says James Lewis of Revere was hit by a man driving a Ford Explorer at about 11 p.m. on Friday.
Lewis died later at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Authorities say the driver of the Explorer, a 45-year-old man from Lynn, wasn’t speeding or driving drunk at the time of the accident.
They say he remained at the scene, passed field sobriety tests and gave a complete statement to state police.
He has not been charged in accident, and authorities did not release his identity. Police were still investigating the accident
Saturday.
