Occupy Boston Eyeing Bernanke's Tuesday Bank Visit

BOSTON (AP) -- Members of the Occupy Boston movement say they're hoping Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke will visit with them during his visit to Boston.

Bernanke is scheduled to deliver the keynote address on Tuesday during the Boston Federal Reserve Bank's annual conference. The bank is located directly across from Occupy Boston's makeshift encampment.

Some protestors are hoping Bernanke will choose to come over and speak to representatives of the movement that has been demanding change in Washington and on Wall Street.

But Devon Pendleton, a University of Vermont student who has become an informal leader for the group, told the Boston Herald that there are no plans to try to confront Bernanke at the bank, which is on federal property.
