Phantom Gourmet: Bailey & Sage

BOSTON (CBS) – At Bailey & Sage in Boston’s Financial District, brothers Michael and Matthew Kaplan are putting a whole new spin on lunch. They serve big sandwiches stacked with premium ingredients, and hearty chopped Salads packed into handy take-out containers.

The sandwiches are made with bread hot out of the oven, meats fired up on the grill and veggies that are ripe and delicious.

And whether you order the Grilled Cubano, juicy Steak Sandwich or piled high Turkey Rachel, you’ll get it the way Michael likes it: BIG.

“I don’t want the little two pieces, four or five ounces of meat on my sandwich. I want eight to nine ounces of meat on my sandwich. All high quality stuff that I would make if I was alone in my kitchen.”

For something slightly lighter, and we do mean slightly, Bailey and Sage also serves salads loaded with so much meat and cheese, even people who don’t eat salads will like ’em. Each one is chopped and sauced to order, and served up in a unique take out box that makes it easy to enjoy on the go.
