Stolen Mastiff Returned To Methuen Shelter

METHUEN (CBS) -The 150-pound Mastiff which was stolen from an animal shelter in Methuen has been returned.

A man in his 20's came to the MSPCA shelter at Nevin Farms on Tuesday and asked to take the dog named Mufasa for a walk. He never returned.

Police say the man left a college ID at the shelter. Police were able to contact with the man who admitted taking the dog. Mufasa was brought to the police station Sunday.

Six-year-old Mufasa is available for adoption for someone who has the space. Anyone interested can contact Mike Keily from the MSPCA.
