BOSTON (AP) — There will soon be a bell chiming the hour again from Boston’s historic Old South Meeting House, where the Boston Tea Party was launched in 1773.

The meeting house hasn’t had a bell in its clock tower for almost 150 years. On Sunday, it will be get one of the 46 bells still around that were made in Paul Revere’s foundry before he died.

The bell, made in 1801, was acquired from the First Baptist Church of Westborough after it closed four years ago. It will be connected to the original 1766 clock in the meeting house tower.

A bell-raising celebration is planned at 1 p.m. on Sunday. When the bell is placed in the tower at 2 p.m., church bells throughout Boston will ring in a special salute.
