Abduction Attempt Reported Near Lynn High School

LYNN (CBS) - Police in Lynn are searching for a suspect involved in a reported abduction attempt across the street from Lynn Classical High School.

Officers say just after 7:00 a.m. Friday, a black man in his late teens grabbed a female high school student, forced her into his car, and took off.

The victim told officers she managed to struggle free and get out of the car on Winneturkit Ave., which is not far from the school.

WBZ-TV's Bill Shields reports

Police officers swarmed the area, but were unable to located the suspect.

The victim described him as having a scar on his nose, yellow dots in the whites of his eyes, and as speaking with a Haitian accent.

The victim also told police that the car, which was a bright red four-door sedan, had a back seat consisting of dark leather will yellow dots all over it.

The girl was shaken up, but did not require medical treatment.

Lynn police are asking anyone with information to call them.
