Patriots Re-Sign Dan Gronkowski

FOXBORO (CBS)- For the second time this season, the New England Patriots will have the Gronkowski brothers in the same locker room.

The Patriots have re-signed tight end Dan Gronkowski, the team announced Tuesday. Terms of the deal weren’t announced.

Gronkowski, older brother of tight end Rob Gronkowski, was originally signed by the Pats on September 7th. He played in the first two games, mostly seeing action on special teams, before being released on September 23rd.

The Patriots had an open roster spot after waiving offensive tackle Thomas Welch on Monday. The Patriots had played Welch as a sixth blocker, which will likely be where Gronkowski slides in.
