Bruins Get Stanley Cup Rings Tuesday

BOSTON (CBS) - They do not raise their Stanley Cup banner until Thursday night, but the Boston Bruins will already have their championship rings as they lift their banner to the Garden rafters.

The Bruins will receive their championship bling Tuesday night at a team dinner at the Boston Harbor Hotel.

Details are being kept secret, but the rings will arrive in an armored car before the team shows up for the event. When the team arrives, roughly around 5:30pm, they will receive a red carpet treatment.

While the Bruins get their rings, in a personalized box, the rest of the world will not get their first glance until after the dinner.

The Boston Bruins Foundation will host a raffle where a lucky Bruins fan will win an official Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Championship ring of their own. The winner will also have the opportunity to have the ring personalized.
