Harvard Beats Up On Lafayette, 31-3

EASTON, Pa. (AP) -- Colton Chapple hit Alex Sarkisian with a 4-yard touchdown pass for Harvard with 3 seconds left in the first half and the Crimson went on to a 31-3 victory over Lafayette on Saturday.

The Crimson (2-1) drove 52 yards in 10 plays to take a 17-3 lead after recovering a fumble by Leopards quarterback Andrew Shoop 1:47 before halftime. Chapple completed six passes on the drive.

Chapple was 14-for-18 passing for 121 yards before giving way to Michael Pruneau at the start of the second half.

Pruneau threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Brate in the third quarter and Zach Boden scored on a 43-yard run in the fourth, while Harvard held the Leopards (1-4), who were playing their home opener, to 94 yards in the second half.

After the teams traded first-quarter field goals, Harvard went ahead 10-3 on a 4-yard scoring run by Treavor Scales.
