Shawsheen Valley Technical High School Evacuated After Bomb Threat

BILLERICA (CBS) – Students at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School are being sent home early Thursday because of concerns about a bomb threat.

Billerica police told WBZ-TV someone found the threat on a note in a bathroom in the school around 8 a.m.

The school was evacuated as a precaution.  Students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.

Investigators are going through the school looking for any evidence in connection with the threat.

More than 1,300 students from Billerica, Bedford, Burlington,Tewksbury, and Wilmington attend the regional school, according to its web site.
